ABOUT THE PLATFORM
Modern DMR radio, built for operators.
A browser-based radio station for monitoring BrandMeister activity, managing a personal DMR identity and connecting operators through one clear, reliable interface.
Created by the amateur radio community
This platform was created by hamradio.mk, by its creator and operator Z36AMB.
It was designed to bring the feel of a modern radio station to the web: clear operating status, live activity, talkgroup controls, operator profiles and a practical path toward authenticated DMR communication.
The project is built for amateur-radio use and is developed with an emphasis on useful information, transparent status and responsible operation.
What the platform provides
- Guest RX access — visitors can open the terminal, observe network activity and listen without transmit privileges.
- Registered operator accounts — each operator has a personal profile, callsign, DMR ID and talkgroup preferences.
- Radio settings — users can save their HomeBrew master, port, ESSID, default talkgroup and encrypted BrandMeister password.
- Live terminal — Last Heard activity, talkgroup selection, signal-style meters, live log and audio monitoring.
- Logbook and statistics — searchable activity history, operators, talkgroups and observed network statistics.
- Network tools — activity map, live network view and verified repeater data when an approved data source is available.
How access works
- A visitor can use the main page in listen-only mode.
- A registered user completes the operator profile and radio settings.
- BrandMeister credentials are stored encrypted and are never exposed in browser code.
- Transmit access requires an active account, valid DMR identity, saved radio profile and administrator approval.
- A validated bridge backend is required before real DMR TX is enabled.
Independent network tool
The platform uses BrandMeister Last Heard and related network services for observed activity and audio monitoring. It is an independent operator platform and is not an official BrandMeister service.
Network information is presented as observed data. When a verified repeater or backend source is unavailable, the platform reports that state instead of inventing records.
Responsible operation
- Use the platform only with your own valid amateur-radio identity.
- Never share your BrandMeister hotspot password with another person.
- Follow local licensing rules and the operating rules of the selected talkgroup.
- Keep transmissions short, identify correctly and leave priority traffic clear.
- TX is intentionally locked until the account and backend are properly verified.
Current platform status
The web platform, account system, encrypted radio profiles, database, guest RX interface and BrandMeister Last Heard monitoring are prepared for operation.
Real authenticated TX/RX through each operator's own HomeBrew profile additionally requires the production VPS WebSocket bridge, a valid DNS/SSL endpoint and an AMBE voice backend.
